I come across a lot of cool pictures of people/places/things and inspiring stories on the Internet these days, so I decided we need a "You Raff You Ruse" version of this.

This is for all those in between things that don't need it's own thread. a thread to kill time.

I'll start it off with some examples, I have many saved up.

I like the idea of this. If we are emulating the YRYR thread I think we should name this one the bawww thread, since these are both 4chan in origin.

My first contribution

"A 40-year-old "mind the gap" announcement once heard on the London Underground is returning to one station - so the wife of the late actor behind it can hear his voice again.

Oswald Laurence's iconic "Mind the gap, please!" could be heard all over the capital until it was phased out.

Embankment became the only station to play the message, until it was eventually discontinued there too.

Mr Laurence's widow told staff she used to go there after his death, 12 years ago at the age of 80, until the recording was scrapped.

London Underground director Nigel Holness said: "Transport for London were approached by the widow of Oswald Laurence to see whether she could get a copy of the iconic 'mind the gap' announcement her husband made over 40 years ago.

"We were very touched by her story, so staff tracked down the recording and not only were they able to get a copy of the announcement on CD for her to keep but are also working to restore the announcement at Embankment station."

Yeah basically, cool stories and pictures. Stuff that's interesting or sad.

I couldn't think of a good name, so this will do...I don't wanna be exactly like 4chan.

Cool thread idea.

I thought this was pretty cool. This fox is standing on a very thick layer of practically frozen snow, and hears a mouse moving around at least a good 2 feet underneath the surface. Somehow, he times it perfectly enough to nose-dive at exactly the right moment to pluck the thing out from the ground and enjoy a nice lunch. He can't see a thing, he's going strictly on sound/instincts.

"Whenever I see those crimson jerseys and crimson helmets, I feel humbled to have played football for Alabama. Other players in the NFL talk to me about their schools and their traditions. I just smile knowing the immense love Alabama fans have for our school and its football program. I'm proud to be a part of that Crimson Tide heritage."
