Its been an issue for years, for example, when pass the ball and its close but would normally not be caught, sometimes the receivers feet will glide to the ball and miss a couple steps. Happens with DBs acting on the ball too.
Ice skating feet used to be a big issue with the NCAA games. Not sure if this one has corrected that. I had 13 and it happened on there as well.
