He might be able to develop talent a little, but he comes no where near the two stars Merlin is able to add to EVERY recruit.

No shit, MSU is a SEC team y'all should get more than C-usa talent. He was just saying that you are grabbing more 2-3 stars than usual for MSU.

I know this comment was a while back, but when you say we're getting more 2-3 stars than usual for MSU, do you mean this year? Or do you mean since Mullen took over? Because asit is now, our recruiting is leaps and bounds better with Mullen than it was with Croom. This year's class hasn't been great, though.

I have a serious question here.  Why do State fans assume that we can't develop talent?  Bo Wallace was a JUCO 3 star, who started his first year (out of necessity but still) and improved by leaps and bounds his second year.

Cody Prewitt has developed into an AA, Senquez has gotten much better this past year, Mike Hilton is an SEC caliber starter on most teams.  Yes we have players who have not lived up to the hype (Channing, Trae Elston, Sawyer) but what makes them think that Freeze is only a recruiter?  It's his second year.

Prewitt, yes. He has assuredly gotten better.  Bo, I don't know. The jury is still out in a way. I understand his INTs went down, but you also have to look at the fact that he wasn't asked to throw beyond the LOS that much either......When your bread and better is a bubble screen to Treadwell--who is admittedly a beast--what else can you say. Hell, there are high school players that could complete those passes.

As far as Moncrief goes, if he is in the two/three--which I feel like he will almost definitely be--he should consider staying out at OM and getting better for another season. If he is in numero uno, he should go. Sorry, but I would give B Mac the same advice. Why risk all his future with the knowledge that he won't reallt get any more out of it?

Serious question, how many bubble screens do you REALLY think we threw? I think you're exaggerating that a little bit. Bo might not have thrown bombs near as often as last year, but we still ran routes over the middle of the field and to the outside (past the LOS)

State fans act like half our play books are mid-screens and bubble-screens. Yes we throw screens, but many more of our throws are slants and quick corner routes.

And it's effective. But I think (hope) Bo will get the arm strength back with a full offseason to work out. The biggest thing it should help is his stamina. His ability to make the big throws down the stretch of the season is crucial

Also, according to Moncrief, Freeze and Moncrief's parents are going to sit down and talk about Moncrief's decision. He also mentioned that he has always wanted to get a degree in case football doesn't work out for him.

recruiting wars are just pissin battles until feb. I don't pay much attention to them. All I would ever do toward recruiting help is if bobo finds bigfoot I'm gonna head that way to recruit him.

Wait a second, do you even remotely know what happened in the Pittman situation?
