I don't even care about our basketball team. I know that sounds horrible, but I don't.

I enjoy baseball. I love football. I couldn't care less about roundball. And most programs with a half-way decent football team in the this conference are about the same way, really. During the Crxxm error, I watched, I bitched, I still watched. I love MSU. It's the only school I love.

People say, " who's your second team?" I don't have a second team. I am a Mississippi State fan, not an SEC fan. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. When State wins a bowl game or when we went to Omaha last season for example, and the fans chanted SEC, that annoys me.

Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn, Vandy, Arkansas, Florida, etc all. didn't do those things. MSU did. Do you think Bama gives State any credit at all for their recent success? No, why should they? When we do well, why should we give them any?

I said that to say this: No matter how bad football is, I will likely still watch and get excited or depressed. I am kind of that way with baseball, but not nearly to the same extent. And we could win a NC in roundball, and I still likely couldn't name two starters.

On another note, Florida State's hatchet jobs require a two-part response: Before I launch into my main topic, I want to make a few matters crystal-clear: (1) The failure of Florida State's adherents to recognize that Florida State has an utter disregard for human life casts doubts upon their methods, and (2) as a result of that, Florida State's ignorance is matched only by its arrogance. Now that you know where I stand on those issues, I can safely say that Florida State hates people who have huge supplies of the things it lacks. What it lacks the most is common sense, which underlies my point that Florida State presents itself as a disinterested classicist lamenting the infusion of politically motivated methods of pedagogy and analysis into higher education. It is eloquent in its denunciation of modern scholarship, claiming it favors unrestrained drazels. And here we have the ultimate irony because it's doing some pretty prolix things. Or, to restate that without meiosis, Florida State refuses to come to terms with reality. It prefers instead to live in a fantasy world of rationalization and hallucination.

Florida State talks a lot about hedonism and how wonderful it is. However, it's never actually defined what it means. How can it argue for something it's never defined? Well, if I knew that, I'd be in Stockholm picking up my prize and a sizable check. Florida State says it's going to borrow money and spend it on programs that suborn deplorable, unforgiving quidnuncs to provide loathsome, nerdy common blood-stained criminals with an irresistible temptation to take the robes of political power off the shoulders of the few honest people who wear them and put them upon the shoulders of laughable, unbridled cavilers in a lustrum or two.

Good old Florida State. It just loves to open its mouth and let all kinds of things come out without listening to how lickerish they sound. Florida State's rotten dream is starting to come true. Liberties are being killed by attrition. Bonapartism is being installed by accretion. The only way that we can reverse these cruel trends is to show some backbone. To be precise, some jackasses are responsible and others are not. Florida State falls into the category of “not”. On a closing note, I hope that this post, while incomplete, informal, and having no authority except its own inner strength and conviction, has clearly demonstrated to you that I wish besotted, linguacious blatherskites like Florida State's spinmeisters would quit whining and try doing some honest work for a change.

Had to google what "drazels" meant.  Someone went ham with a thesaurus on that..
