It's a tough call.  Mizzou would give us a better game, but Ole Miss is a bubble team much like us.  Really, it doesn't matter.  We're used to winning these tournaments so whoever we get is who we get.  But in the interest of giving ourselves an easier road, yeah, we'll probably be pulling for Ole Miss.
You are hesitant on who to cheer for. If you are hesitant, you aren't going to be cheering enough to make it feel like a true road game.

Oh, I didn't read the back log of what you guys were arguing about.  Are the Kentucky fans gonna make it a road game for either Mizzou or Ole Miss?  No.  We'll be cheering when good plays happen.  Probably pulling more for Ole Miss, but no, you're right.  The overwhelming majority (barring some UK guy w/a major Mizzou vendetta) aren't going to be trying to heckle or intimidate one of the teams.

I thought we were talking about attendance figures in general.

Thanks for backing up my assertion with this.

I keep telling our Mizzou bros this (and the fact y'all outnumber everyone) but they don't listen.

But what @PuddingTime isn't telling you is that it is all dependent on exactly how much bourbon is able to be brought/bought.
We are historically a stepping stone, whereas you all are new and want to make a statement.

You'll notice he says no less than 3 times that they will probably pull for us.

PuddingTime has definitely told me about the bourbon in other threads when I said that the SEC Tourney crowd won't be as hostile as when Mizzou played Kentucky earlier this year.

The caliber of Kentucky fan you're going to see in Nashville is going to be much drunker and more hostile than those in Rupp.  We can argue about number of folks wearing blue, but you get a different Kentucky crowd at the Tourney.  They come out of the wood work....that's for sure.  It's been a while since I've been able to afford to take time off work and go, but it's a damn fun time.

As far as who we'd root for, I already explained the underlying reasoning why we'd pull for Ole Miss, but another is also because honestly Mizzou is a legit program.  We're 100-13 all-time v Ole Miss.....so you can see why we have no qualms playing them.

The Rupp crowd for v Mizzou and v Florida this year was off the hook.

The one in Nashville will be crazy, loud and borderline obnoxious.  In a good way.  ;)

The Big Blue Mist will be in the house!  And the house will be PACKED!!!!

Meh, im indifferent about Kansas. Only thing that annoys me is when they talk themselves up more than they actually are. They're probably the weakest of all the blue bloods imo. They act as if phog is eden and that these "helms" titles are a blessing from Jesus or somethin....other than that i consider them inferior to us.

Although bringing them to SEC would really fire things up around here. It'd be interesting for sure

Kansas brings nothing to the table and the SEC would never consider them. They have terrible football and a small market. The SEC wouldn't bring in Kansas for basketball when they could bring in North Carolina or Duke instead.

4k+ posts, congrats.

Sounds like your personal vendetta against them might be a conflict of interest. :P
You make valid points though. Small market and UNC would be a more significant player in both sports and $$$

Fwiw, I say to hell with Kansas and any invitation that we (although very unlikely) might ever consider offering them.
@Mizzou_Fan summed it up well; they bring nothing, other than basketball.

Kansas leaving isn't realistic of course. They're the flagship of the Big12 just like we're the flagship of the SEC.
