We're lucky in football, our permanent West opponent is MSU.  :)

We're going to be lucky. Our permanent East opponent will be Mizzou.

Bielema has come off as a baby back bitch so far. I don't think he makes it too long in this league. Make sure to tell us how that ass tastes roasted Bret when we drop 40 on you this year

Yeah you were also our first SEC win in 2 years. Not worried about it in the least. Our offense will be more than capable of putting up 40 on y'all by that point in the season. Does it matter if we actually do? No cause y'all won't be able to score enough anyways

Lose in the first round and you guys are not in

Wanna bet on that one?

They won't go from being an 8 seed to out because of 1 loss.

Yeah I gotta think Missouri is in.

Kentucky is in, too, so long as they beat Arkansas/Vandy on Friday.

Tennessee, Alabama and Ole Miss are the three teams that need to "play their way in". I'm not sure if they necessarily HAVE to win the tournament, but each probably needs 2 wins in Nashville.

I think the SEC gets four teams in. UF, Mizz, UK...and then one of UT, Bama and OM will play in Dayton. Depends on which one goes the deepest into the SECT.

For a very long time it was unfair due to the fact the East was MUCH stronger than the west. This new scheduling actually favors us in the East, because there is no east and west in bball anymore. No reason Vandy should ever complain after what you guys had to go through in the past. UK twice, UF twice, and UT twice. Think about that compared to this season and the future seasons.

I don't like the new format because there will be years where UK/VU do not play twice. And that just seems unamerican.

....the bigger problem for his team is that they lost so much from last year and didn't replace them.  Vandy Basketball went from the penthouse to the outhouse in 2013.  It might be 60 more years before they win the SEC Tourney again.  ;)

Come on SECats, were bad but not that bad. I'd say we went from sittin first class to sitting in coach right next to the lavatory.

Inside that lavatory is the steaming pile that is Auburn, MSu, and USCe.

I was going to say the same thing. MTSU losing hurt any bubble teams because they are solidly in IMO. So a team from the Sun belt will get te auto bid while MTsu Steals a bubble bid.

That would mean Alabama has to beat Florida. Hopefully one win would do it cause i don't see Bama beating Florida on a nuetral court.

I feel a lot better about beating them on a neutral court than I did about us beating them in Gainesville. What worries me is that Tennessee is going to be an emotionally/physically taxing game. I think we can beat UF on a neutral court, I'm just not sure if we can do it less than 24 hours after a grind against UT.

That's true. The past couple years UT has peaked late ang right now they're playing excellent. Beat us and Florida in a short span. You never know though, they have to play you guys right after playing their first game so they may be tired as well. Not to mention they may not even win and you guys get to play USC or MSU.

Yeah, it's all hypothetical at this point. The way I see it, the Bama/UT game is basically a coin flip. We beat them by 3 in Tuscaloosa, they beat us by 1 in Knoxville. The two teams are so dead-even, it's scary. We're a more polished team defensively and they have a rebounding advantage, but otherwise our numbers are very close.

I'd put our chances at 50% to beat Tennessee and probably like 20% to beat Florida. My gut says we're NIT bound but the good news is we still have a chance to prove me wrong.

Right now Lunardi has Kentucky as an 11 seed and they aren't on the last 4 in.
