Looking to move within the next 6-12 months. Just ready for something new. Also, Birmingham sucks, and I think I would make much more money in FL. At the top of my list thus far;

#1 choice is Cape Coral (VERY nice)
Fort Myers
Pensacola/Destin (so close to home)

NOT Miami
NOT Jacksonville
Big fat NO to Gainesville

Maybe Tampa/Tallahassee, would love to hear more about them. Only downside about the cities I'm most impressed with, is that I'm afraid when I visit them they'll be full of old folk and not enough young, ripe, tan, sexy ass in booty shorts with flat tummies and perky tits who are literally just sitting around right now, waiting on me to arrive. Thanks in advance

NOT: Jacksonville, Miami.

Jacksonville 1/3 is nice 2/3 is a shthole. Huge city with some nice qualities but downtown is trashy and run down. The bus stop is a breeding ground for drug dealing and homeless hangouts.

Miami is nice in South Beach and other small areas.  Most of which now you need to speak spanish to survive in.

Orlando isnt too bad. Havent done an extended stay there though.

Daytona is nice.

F*uck Gainesville

Tallahassee has some trashy hot redneck chicks. That would be the place for me.

Would Seminole chant for this

Only been to FL a few times, but have had friends move down there. It's a different kind of crazy down there. Good luck with that.

But from what I've heard the only place I can suggest(again, this is with no firsthand experience) is Lakeland.
“We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.”

Well then you'll have to be the young, tan, sexy ass in booty shorts, m8.

This concludes the imparting wisdom portion of my morning. Good luck.

compare destinations to each other, or your current city

IMO

Tallahassee >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tampa/St. Pete

Check out Crystal River (north of Tampa) if you like that side of the state.  It also may have a lot to do with what you do for a living.  We did not like FL because of our small family and not knowing anyone.  We decided to move back to KY a few years back after being there for 5+ years.  We lived in the Amelia Island area (on GA border north of Jacksonville) and really liked it but there is better places in FL.  I traveled the state a lot and really hated the beachy/resort areas and missed that hometown feel which is why I picked the cities I did.  I really liked Tallahassee and Ocala.

Good luck!

Some of y'all are obviously playing a sick joke on this guy.

Tallahassee is a shithole, Ghetto as hell except for quite a small portion, which admittedly is very nice.
That's one place that could be really awesome, but isn't yet.

Tampa and Jacksonville have some very nice areas and more young professional types.

Orlando is just weird. Half of it is old cracker Florida, the other half is gay Disney and midwestern transplants.

Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties are SoFla.
Either very expensive or very ghetto, and everyone is Jewish or Spanish.
Pass.

Pretty much anywhere else is non-populated swamp or farm.

Miami and Orlando are among the least "southern" cities located in the South. Or is  that what you are going for?
