If true then this is horrible news for the West. LSU might get a good coach.

Agreed. Being a head coach at an elite football program brings scrutiny with it. People want stories. Sometimes, those stories aren't even true.

Does anyone else think that Les is taking less chances in games where he is close to losing? I used to love to watch him coach because he would piss you off with his luck. He doesnt seem to do as much gambling

your kidding right?

That's because every team plans for his trickery now.  If I recall, he was 0-the century with trick plays against Bama last year.  Once you start costing possessions, first downs, and whole games with failed trickery, it's going to die off real quick.

I hear nothing happened. I am disappointed. No motorcycle. No jumbala. Nobody about to be married. No cigars. No nothing. Leave it to Lsu to screw up the off season too.

a large group of LSU fans just woke up last week after subjecting themselves to a liquor induced coma to deal with the pain of losing to a shitty acc team. This rumor was their best idea for getting rid of Miles.
“We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.”

Oh no, you're exactly right. He hasn't been trying as much nonsense lately. In fact, in a couple games, he paused so long to consider trying something silly he had to take TO's; and then didn't even go for it.

Commentators in a couple games last mentioned it, saying things like, "Two years ago he wouldn't even be debating this, he'd go for it.". I think the announcers said something along those lines in our game against them, too. In fact, Muschamp fully expected something like a 4th down play or fake punt, and always had our players on guard and the right personnel in the game just in case... but he never tried anything despite having several opportunities and a very close game.

Had a 4th and 3, and kicked a FG. Had a 4th and 4, and punted. Had another 4th and 4, and punted. Had a 4th and goal from the UF 4, and kicked a FG. Had another 4th and 3, and punted. Had another 4th and 4, and punted. Had a 4th and 3 and got a 1st down late in the game and losing; ended up punting later. That ended up being LSU final meaningful possession; they got it back 1 more time, but with only 9 seconds on the clock. Final score 14-6 UF.

He had 7 4th and short opportunities, and settled for the FG or punted on 6 of them. The only time he went for it was when the game was nearly over, they were behind, and it looked like it would be LSU's last possession.

Alright i knew i wasnt just making that up.    Happened to Tommy Tubb  (the riverboat gambler)   but towards the end of his run  at Auburn  there was very little effort  (play calling) that made you believe he deserved that nickname
