STARKVILLE, Miss. - Bulldog pitching allowed a run or less for the eighth time this season and a late State surge broke a 1-1 deadlock as fifth-ranked Mississippi State (13-0) nipped Saint Joseph's 4-1 on a chilly Saturday afternoon at Dudy Noble Field. State and Saint Joseph's (2-6) conclude their four-game weekend series with a doubleheader set for a 1 p.m. start at Dudy Noble Field.
