For Terrance Dedrick, playing a sport at a high level seemed to be a predetermined fate. The son of a former All-Conference football player at Morris Brown College, his father, Thomas Dedrick, signed with the Seattle Seahawks after graduation. He is also the younger brother of Wayne Dedrick, a 30th-round pick of the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2008 MLB Draft who after spending time in professional baseball is now the third-leading scorer for the University of Alabama-Huntsville basketball team. And then there is his mother, Angelita Dedrick, who rank track.
