South Carolina (13-15, 3-12 SEC) could not overcome a 69.6 percent shooting performance by Missouri (20-8, 9-6 SEC), dropping a home conference contest 90-68 on Thursday night at Colonial Life Arena. Sophomore guard Damien Leonard scored a career-high 20 points, hitting a career-best six 3s to lead the Gamecocks.

Last night was the first game I've seen in quite a while and I have to say I was disappointed in how we played...what jumps out immediately is our lack of athleticism, speed and size. We just don't have the players & the ones we have are either limited physically in what they can do but that's no excuse for constantly getting beat in transition over and over. Bobby Knight made a couple comments on it late in the first and again in the 2nd....as a team we just don't recognize and act on change of possession very well at all. In fact, we suck at it. Even when we get an equal number back in transition D, I saw more O'le defense than at a bullfight....a lot of that was because the guy(s) getting back aren't big enough to make a fast break reconsider taking it to the hoop.
Our halfcourt offense still frustrates me though it is a helluva lot better than it ever was under Horn....still settling for a lot of WTF threes (a lot of which actually went down last night or it'd been worse than 22) and not giving it to the guy in the post at all, ever. I know he's not a great talent in the middle but he's got size & it at least gives the D something to think about instead of just watching us pass it around outside for 20 seconds. Carrera plays hard but almost to a fault as he looks more hyper than hustling a lot so I'm hoping he grows into the speed of the game more & gains some awareness out there....he can play if he can play within himself. But he's no post man so quit giving it to him down there.
Give Mizzou credit - they played very well IMO so that obviously didn't help but we didn't make it real difficult for them either which I'm sure has been the case in a lot of our games that I haven't seen because I'm up here in Michigan.
Still waiting on better days - hope the players Coach Martin has coming in and/or sitting out transfer years can come in and play together better than we showed last night. Mizzou played well together as a team....I think the contrast in how we seemed to not do that was clear. I hope it's that we just don't have the players......
Good game MIzzou

Let me get this straight. We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and will be fined for if we don't, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts itself from it, signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese and financed by a country that's broke.
What could possibly go wrong?
