In addition to that, a friend of mine informs me that the crips and other gangs will be on the other side of the street "counter-protesting".

With sequestration eminent, one wonders if Memphis will have enough police to keep these protests both safe and peaceful?

No. I dont expect a riot. A little bad language and a few minor bits of vandalism. Look at these things from the past, the so called clan isnt what it once was and lacks the organization to do more than posture.

You misunderstand me; I was thinking more along the "counterprotests" from the crips and other gangs.
If I recall correctly, something similar happened in Memphis in 1998. klan showed up and the gangs went batshite crazy tearing things up.
