Vanderbilt downed Central Arkansas 10-2 Wednesday afternoon at a chilly Hawkins Field. The Dores once again had a balanced offensive attack with eight players having at least one hit. Steven Rice earned the win with three perfect innings out of the bullpen. The Commodores picked up a dominate performance from starting pitcher Philip Pfeifer in a 9-3 win at Belmont Tuesday. Pfeifer punched out a career-best 10 Bruins to become the first Dores' hurler since 2011 to strike out at least 10 batters. Tony Kemp produced his second career five-hit game and the team's first since he did it in 2011 as a freshman.
