Alabama freshman shortstop Mikey White (Birmingham, Ala.) was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday night. White posted a .545 batting average last week to help the Crimson Tide post a series sweep over the VMI Keydets.
