Trailing by four runs entering the eighth inning, No. 8 Kentucky rallied to tie the game and pinch hitter Thomas Bernal smacked a go-ahead, two-out RBI single up the middle in the ninth inning, leading the Wildcats to a dramatic comeback win at USC Upstate, 11-10, on a sunny Monday afternoon at Harley Park.
