I'm always excited for a sports season to get started. Losing Carpenter was a huge blow. It will hurt not having his veteran presence to help with the younger pitchers.

I would agree, but I knew last year he was going to have some trouble with it.

Seriously, I think Aub can easily beat us next season, no matter their attrition, lack of QB, lack of tackling, etc etc. We never beat them down there. They are going to be a lot better, we will be lucky to have marginal improvement. Home game for them. We could easily lose, I will be happy if the eagle crashes into the skybox like it did last time I was there for AU/MSU

Because they had the program's worst defense in over 100 years last season; it ranked dead last in the SEC by a mile (they were over 50 yards per game worse than the next worst SEC team); ranked #110 out of 124 nationally (which should NEVER be the case for an SEC team); and didn't do much, if anything, in off-season recruiting to rectify the situation.

Hard to imagine having any faith in the defense this year.

It's funny. Ya'lls whole fanbase turned on the guy pretty much down the stretch when ya'll were getting donkey stomped 6 out of your last 7 games, but then when his coaching deficiencies are pointed out in the offseason, ya'll still want to back the man up against anyone. Doesn't make much sense, but do as you will

I think he can win 10 games. Total team talent has been problematic; but if he can buy a class or two like Freeze, he's a good enough coach that he could win 10 games easily.

Also, I'm not predicting a win against Auburn based mostly on the fact that it is at their place. I think we will probably be the favorite to win and we very well may win but its never easy to get a win a Jordan-Hare. We almost never win at Auburn.
