I don't necessarily care if we have high strikeouts as long as we're playing gorilla ball.

Yeah, I don't care if we have double the K's of any other team this year if we finish the year with 5 guys at 30 HR's... That's a long shot of actually happening but we definitely have the potential.
I kept failing a math test at the University of Alabama because every time I added 5+3 I got 8 and they kept insisting that the right answer was 14.

If we have 5 guys at 30 HR's, well let's just say my Braves boner will be so massive I'll need a dolly to get around here.

We'll be at the top of the league in Ks, but I think between Heyward, the Brothers Upton, Uggla, Freeman and Mac...we are also going to be at the top of the league in walks.

Keep in mind we led the NL in BB last year. Yes, we lose Chipper and Bourn, both guys who walked at a good clip, but we replace them with the Uptons...who both had a walk rate at > 11% over the last few years.

The K's will be frustrating, but I honestly think with as much as we'll walk, hit doubles/home runs, and steal bases...we're going to be one of the stronger offenses in the league.

Uggla is 2 for his last 16 with 10 Ks :(

On the bright side, Julio Teheran went 3 scoreless innings with 5 K's yesterday. He seems to have successfully changed his approach from last year and can locate his fastball again.

Anybody think perhaps he could finally live up to the hype? At least to some extent? If he does, our pitching staff looks a lot better.

He might blow his arm out within a few years but he's looking really good now. I hope he can keep it together because we'll really need him when Maholm/Huddy are gone. If he's pitching like this, a rotation of Medlen/Beachy/Minor/Teheran/Gilmartin looks like a top of the line rotation still.

I'll be honest, I wouldn't mind having a solid .280+ with a decent on base percentage filling our 2B role. Uggla is either decent or the pits...talking about in the shit pit.

Yeah... I wish that Pastornicky could develop a better eye and more patience at the plate. He's shown flashes of power every now and then... If he could be a .280 guy with 15-20 HR's I think most of us would be fine with that. I'd take that over Uggla last year any day.

I'd take Hank Aaron playing second base at his current age over last year's Uggla, though.

The K's won't bother me too much as long at the Uptons, Roadrunner/Johnson don't hit in to double plays all the time like Andruw, Uggla, Francis, LaRoche or any other recent brave with high strikeout totals.

If we can make it through the 5th inning I really like our chances in every game. Going to be tough against O'Flat, Walden, Venters and CraigK

Uggla went yard today.

As did BJ and Rev.

And Juan hit, not juan, but two doubles.

If he can have a good year, our offense could be the best in the NL. Danny is the true X-factor of the lineup. Good to see him blast one today.

Uggla looks WAY trimmer...

http://mlb.mlb.com/v...=tw_content_ATL

Almost doesn't even look like him. He clearly still has the power, but he looks more like a 2nd baseman and less like an NFL fullback.
