We are now down 6-1 and still not out of the inning. Why dowe suck so much?

All the Mississippi schools are loaded this year.

Dave Van Horn all but admitted he didn't give a shit about the outcome of today's game. Jumbled the lineup, started a guy that might pitch 10 innings all season, let the freshmen play. Lost today 7-5

Kentucky currently winning 15-1 over Niagra in the 5th inning.  Austin Cousino had a grand slam in the 4th.

Kentucky currently is putting up a crooked number against NIagra.  They have scored every inning thus far.  The only run they gave up is unearned.

We have scored another 3 runs.  Currently tally is 18-1 as UK leads Niagra in the 6th inning.  Henderson has essentially subbed in an entirely different line-up now outside of 2 or 3 players and I'm sure they will be subbed if given a chance to as well.

Though I hate to lose, getting the backups some playing time is good at the front end of the season.

I would imagine Van Horn's not happy with the loss.

He's never happy with a loss, but I don't think he'll be too worked up about it. We have 5 games in 7 days coming up and we needed to rest some guys. Plus, Fico sat out this weekend, along with Lynch and Suggs

That's what makes baseball tolerable.Losses happen and in the end there's still a chance to win it all.

This is going to be a fine year, rankings be damn.

5 games in 7 days?  These kids should be able to handle it.  Heck many of these kids were playing 70 games a summer back in high school.  About the only thing you should be worrying about over a stretch like that is managing your pitching arms.

J.T. Riddle is currently 6-6 today with 3 RBIs and is only a HR short of the cycle.  Still 2 innings to go as well!  Hopefully he gets another at bat.

Kentucky up 20-3 today.  9 errors total committed by both sides with 3 of those committed by the Cats.  Only 1 was committed by the starters and 2 were committed by the reserves which are mostly freshman getting their first experience of D1 ball.  Its been a good day.  They are currently in the bottom of the 9th trying to close it out.

I have no doubt they can handle it, but it was obvious this weekend we didn't want to use any pitching unless absolutely necessary. Also have a lot of newcomers on this years team. Still playing with different lineups.

We swept VMI. They're obviously nothing special, but I'll take it after losing several series to poor teams over the last couple of seasons. Good start to the season. We got Southern Miss on Tuesday night at The Joe @GoldenRebel

Just got a very nice sweep over Mizzou.  Weekend rotation is sick...not to sure about the midweek guys though.  Could easily go to either team.

On that note, the state of Mississippi is 10-0 after the first weekend.  3 really good teams that will all be top 25 this year.  I fully expect one to make a deep run this year.  You can't beat MS baseball per capita.  The pitching this year is ridiculous for them all.  Absolutely sick.
