Okay, I haven't been around to say this and should posted something on Friday but Gary Henderson (UK Head Coach) is an absolute idiot in my opinion.  Who in the hell starts their best two starters on saturday and sunday.  Not only that, but he starts arguably our best pitcher on Sunday!  I don't understand this man one bit.  Last year was a bit of the same however, our starting staff last year was pretty well balanced and I think you could have rotated it around if he wished but even then I let it slide last year.  This year is a different story.  It may give us a better chance at winning the 2nd and 3rd games of the series but is he more or less conceding the first game?  Its ridiculous.

Yet again if you look at my posts in the past I have always been VERY critical of Henderson.  I personally thought he hadn't done enough to warrant the extension Barnhart gave him this past year after a successful season last year because it was really his FIRST year of success he has had since getting the job.  He has had talent in his early years with what Cohen left him but he either ran them off or under-utilized them.  I was only willing to give him about a year extension or two after last year but obviously Barnhart didn't agree with me.

Turns my stomach over just a bit.  With that being said we did manage to win the series at Florida today but like we did all last year we lost on Friday AGAIN, with our 3rd best starter.  Meh...

4-8 or 5-7 .  The same way teams figured out the wild rebel offense after a year  this team will face the same obstacles.

It's going to be so much fun watching reality settle in on the rebs this season. Do you all honestly think you'll stay on top against Mullen for long? I couldn't even type that with a straight face. Do you all honestly believe that you'll have another number one recruit pick you again because of family obligations? lmao.

That he won't ever win you more than nine games in a single season. Put it your sig. In three years, when he's lost to State twice and he's standing next to Houston Nutt in the unemployment line, we'll be laughing.

Fair enough but the man has made a lot of very questionable decisions over his career and I don't understand his method of thinking when it comes to his starting rotation.  I have a big problem with us more or less conceding the first game of a series based on how he has structured the rotation.

Lulz big surprise, Cohen threw at Katz for no reason, after Katz just burned his squad all weekend. Good series win LSU

Meh. It doesn't really bother me. We're still a damned good team. Take away some sloppy play Friday, and we could easily have won that series. Besides, it's way too early to hit panic mode right now. A good showing in Lexington, and we're back on track.

Not sure Kentucky is worth that top 10 ranking, but they're still a good club

It aint going to be an easy out. I can promise you that. I am just tired of STATE fans, not even ya'll's or anyone elses fans, about to stroke out and give up on us over us losing the series this weekend. They act like they've never seen a baseball game. LSU is one of--if not the--best team in the country. We always struggle with them. We needed that win yesterday, and to win like we did, for confidence. We'll be aight if we can back on track verses the Cats.

Your going to lose some series if you play in the sec. Important thing is not to get swept.

Arky, lsu, om, and state are all really even and can win any game they play. Hence the overtime games

Mainieri is a little pudd... First off the pitch did was a foot and a half behind Katz... He didnt move because it wasnt that close to hitting him. Thats baseball.

That said... I dont know why we didnt do that Saturday. We werent throwing to hit him. We were throwing to scare him and it worked. Katz struck out after a 3-1 count.

This...

Its the first SEC series. Coaches are trying to figure out lineups, rotations, etc... I am not worried at all.

LSU is a good team up and down the lineup ... The only thing that will get them in trouble this season is their pitching. I wasnt that impressed with their pitching in any way.

You don't throw behind guys heads to scare them though, thats not a baseball play. you throw inside on them to back them off the plate if you want to scare him

If had wanted to hit him he would have.  It would have been fine if it were at his waist
