Midweek games, tournaments, and y'all have a cancelled series.

We are 5-7.

Not too shabby

Especially considering he is our game 3 pitcher.

Our game 3 pitcher started 1 game(our only loss) and got hurt. He's been replaced by a mid week guy.

The mid week guy...Phillip Pfeifer-

2-0(1 ND)
0.45 ERA
20 IP
24 K's
12 H
8 BB
.175 BAA

not bad for a midweek starter turned Sunday starter.

Good stuff. I cant find Belcher's stats but I do know that so far this season he is at around 25 or 26 k's with only 1 walk someone else familiar with his stats can clarify.

@cocky4ever

Yeah someone posted it on the last page.

25 k's with 1 BB.

The 25 k's is impressive.

I'm more impressed with the 1 BB. It's one area some of our pitchers have struggled this year. Especially the freshmen.

Considering the Vandy guy has less hits and a much lower ERA is pretty impressive considering they have the same amount of innings.

One reason Belcher probably has more hits than the other guy is due to Belcher's 1 walk vs Vandy guy's 8.

Probably but I love a pitcher that doesn't issue many walks. He makes the hitter earn first base.

True, but on the other side of that is that if you issue a walk, you are only giving up one base instead of a hit that could give up 1 to 4 bases.
