Their RPI jumped 5 spots after they lost to us, so not out of the question.
Especially when they are competing for spots against LaSalle, Virginia, Memphis, Maryland, St. Johns, etc.

We gotta beat either Florida or Mizzou to have a shot at gettin in. Unless by some miracle we win the SEC tourney

You don't like your chances in either of those?

Is this going to cost him and his family millions? I hope not
He'll still go number 3 at worst. Basketball drafts are about investments, especially when you're dealing with an 18 year old.

This is horrible, I love watching him play and what's worse is you know this will lead to lots of talk about the one and done rule.

Off topic, Florida is devastatingly good. If they're healthy in March they're my title pick.

That game against Marquette was a complete massacre and Marquette is good.

Mizzou seems to be inconsistent at times and it's at Rupp so im optimistic about it...but our defense just took a dramatic hit. Noel was the leader for DPOY. Not to mention our leading rebounder on a team not exactly known for its rebounding. A loss like that is detrimental.

Nerlens Noel defensively is like Kevin Garnett and Dikembe Mutombo's love child.

Offensively he's god awful (I know they say "raw" in the scouting report but I'm just being honest), but worst case scenario he has Marcus Camby's career stat line.

Ill agree about his offense. AD was raw at the beginning but showed great touch. Noel basically throws a line drive with his hook shot and has NO outside shot. I think a Camby or Ibaka is where he'll be at.

Seeing him play reminds me of the Dikembe Mutombo Geico commercial

Superman never made any money

Saving the world from Solomon Grundy

And sometimes I despair the world will never see another man

Like him

Raw isn't the right word for AD. He just had the wrong skill set because he was new to the post. He could handle, drive and had a great form shot. He literally could have played PG or SG for smaller D1 schools.

Noel looks very uncomfortable in the paint, has a hard time finishing and has absolutely no semblance of an shot beyond 10 feet.

He could be a lethal weapon in transition especially if he can block shots back in play like AD.

He just needs a few post moves and he can be a career 15 pt 11 rd 3 blk career stat line guy.

more than likely the MCL is gone too. ACL is the big one though. Wonder why they're waiting 2-3 weeks to do the surgery...
They will want the swelling to subside. This makes easier for them to get a clearer look with their scopes and probes.

Edit: I know this because I just had ACL repair done in November.

I hate this for NN, but he can beat it. Now I'm kinda glad this team hadn't put it all together yet, because it would have been doubly devastating to see a glimmer of repeat and THEN have it stripped away.

I be looking for some positives to come from this difficulty, but right now I don't have any.
