The Kentucky legislature finally approved bonding for UK to spend $150 million for stadium renovations and upgrades such as a new press box/tower over the south upper deck, new suites, 2500 club seats better concessions and concourse areas along with better fan amenities such as flat panels all over the concourses in the expanded restrooms and at concession stands. Also a new recruiting room overlooking the stadium.

They spent 6 million last year for two HD video boards both being the 17th largest and ribbon boards around the stadium and new sound system. I really think the admin finally get it............they certainly are finally spending the money.

You know our recruiting room consisted of fold out lawn chairs and a fold out table...No wonder promising recruits didn't wanted to come here. I don't blame them.

We just got similar upgrades and they are kickass.
The flatscreens near the concession areas are awesome.

Those do kick butt, the ones at the Georgia Dome are great.  They may also be adding seat backs to the bleacher seating plus the 2500 club seats and suites should put us around 72,000........not the largest SEC stadium but it's going to be nice. They can always bowl in the upper decks in the future which would take us to 92,000. I don't forsee that happening for several years....if ever, the pilings are already set for those endzone upper decks....they set them when they bowled in the lower stadium and built the endzone suites.
