There is already a waiting list for season tickets at Vandy. Why does this matter you ask? Well there has never been a waiting list for season tickets at Vanderbilt. I will be very suprised to see more than 6k Ole Piss fans at that game. As much as attendance picked up last year after a 6 win season i would suspect that that number will be much greater after a 9 win season.Hell i wouldn be suprised if we sold 35,000 season tickets.

There aren't 35k season tickets available.

6k - students
6k - opponent allotment

That's 12k in a 40,000 seat stadium. The most season tickets VU can have is 28000.

You must not go to a lot of SEC forums,  judging by your 101 posts and your prediction of 35,000 season tickets in a 40k stadium where you're required to give 6k tickets to the other team and only sold around 12k the year before, I'm more than likely right.

Your 12k figure is WAY off

hearing rebelfan4life run his homertastic juvenile mouth over a win is no more or less annoying than having to deal with hogan anchoring down for god knows how long after a win over ole miss.... this would be a good game to have end in a tie 0 - 0

We all have our downfalls.

I like to think I'm the realist of the bunch.

Hard to find actual numbers because Vandy doesn't speak much on it, doesn't make selling more than your average attendance any less insane.

Even in 2011 they didn't ever release an official number.

You are the only Vandy fan in the know and worth debating by far on this site.

One must also think. 2011 was the first season for CJF. The 3rd Head coach in 3 years. And coming off back to back 2 win seasons.

In 2012, season tickets were closer to 20k. I'd guesstimate they'll be around 24-25k this year.

Much more realistic number, I was thinking you guys would be around 22k this year more than likely even without a firm number on last years sales.

22k would be an improvement and I would gladly take that. You have to think even in the 80s, during the Watson Brown era, season tickets were in the mid 20k. Now in those years, Nashville was a much smaller city, didn't have 2 pro sports, and had less entertainment options.

And then you have to consider the fact that 22k are willing to brave modern day Nashville traffic to get to the home games and it's even more impressive  (Drove through Nashville on my way to Columbia, SC last season it was hell)

Depends on the time of day. Last year, when I went to the season opener, we got running a hit late. Didn't arrive to the city until 4pm. Well by that time it was rush hour. Not only was the Vandy game going on but 5 miles east it was the titans final preseason game.

Clay Travis referred to it as carmaggedon

I was there at 5 o'clock sharp on a Friday evening... twas brutal... The car pooling lane though was a great way to fly once I finally got to that part.  I can't imagine getting there during a home game during rush hour though.

Hell after driving in Chicago and LA many times, Nashville traffic doesn't phase me

I went to the vandy game last season, vandy students are SO awkward. And they had the football players do this ridiculous video where they awkwardly lead the cheers...the whole expirience felt contrived. Moral of the story, vandy stop trying to be cool and just be vandy.

Haven't you been posting all in that Star Wars thread?
