12k out of 40k.

I love how you're back tracking. At first it was 25-30k. Now you're saying 15k. Just know that season tickets and students will make up AT LEAST 26k. That leaves 14k at the most. 6k of that is allotted to the visiting school.
Not back tracking at all i'm saying atleast 15k regardless of the Saturday and Thursday scenarios .  It doesn't really matter, Nashville will be invaded.

Vandy season tix used to be cheap and widely avalible. I used to buy them for the tennessee games and sell off the one or 2 other games people would travel to see.

That would put it at 60k which quite frankly will never nor should it happen.

The 100k seat stadium is stupid and unnecessary. One of the reasons I hate turner field. It's too big. 50k is too much for baseball just like 100k is too much for football.

LOL.

LOL.

There's a reason attendance is dropping. Not just at Tennessee. People have much better options now than they did 30 years ago.

Like what? You aren't replicating Neyland in your house. That's a legit argument for pro football where the tickets are 85 bucks for nosebleeds and the majority of people there care more about how their fantasy players are doing than what "their" team is doing. I've been to a few Falcons games and it is really nothing like any college game I've been to. Even when I went to the I-AA title game back in 08(?) when Delaware and App State were playing, the atmosphere was more intense than the avg NFL game.

Think before you type. You sound ridiculous. You're smarter than that, this I know.

What's a nosebleed seat cost at Neyland? I know the price is different depending on opponent but doesn't it cost upwards of $100 a seat for the Alabama or Florida game?

I really do believe the 100k seat mega stadium will become obsolete in the next 20 years. Not that VU would ever need one. I get that.

45-50k is about where Vandy should be with an expansion....I truly believe any more than that and Vandy could have many empty seats. UK had empty seats in protest to the AD's desire to want to hang on to Joker Phillips, the fans had no choice but to speak with they're wallets in order to achieve change, and change we got. This after UK for 8 yrs straight finished in the top 25 in attendance at 103% capacity avg right at 70,000.

I think we'll be right back there with renewed hope, optimism and hopefully a better product on the field. If the coaching is as good as the recruiting, then I think fans will be thrilled. There is a big push for 60k plus for the spring game....which by the way is a night game, heck yes!

No doubt though that attendance is dropping conference wide due to the economy, thank you Obama and all other elitists.

Florida tix were 60-ish for nosebleeds, my sister got a deal and got 4 tix(2 sets of 2) for ~200 bucks. I sat with my mom on the 50 yard line about 8-10 rows up.

Bought from UT or on the secondary market?

The prices from UT aren't dictated by supply and demand.

I don't think VU should have anything over 45K. 50K is pushing it right now. We have to be able to consistently sell out the current venue but the current venue is absolutely the worst in the league.
