Big tornado just ripped through downtown Hattiesburg and USM's campus. It's not Tuscaloosa bad, but there is a lot of damage. Still waiting word on just how bad.

Basically ran right along Hardy Street on the south side and crossed at the 49 intersection area.

Friend of mine
"So I’ve been texting my sister. She’s still ok. The room where she was working in the Performing arts center was trashed. The Elephant Door was completely shredded. All the windows of the lobby of the building are gone and the roof is half not on the building.
There is a tree inside her car. A giant branch fell down beside her car and busted in her driver window. It’s also raining immensely hard, so the inside of her PT Cruiser is now being soaked.
This is just…wow. I can’t even."

Yea campus took a direct hit. It's bad. The Alumni House is practically gone. Half the building lost roofs/windows. One of the dorms is standing but completely trashed.

Just terrible. At least the Tuscaloosa tornado completely avoided the UA campus. This one looks like Southern Miss took a direct hit. I haven't heard of a total on injuries or loss of life, but just judging by the pictures this one seemed pretty bad.

Tornadoes suck. Big time.
Hopefully there aren't any deaths/serious injuries out of this.

@GoldenRebel, what are the reports? Have you heard anything else? I can't get local news at the house.
