clicky

Bringing in a new OL coach while breaking in a lot of new OL makes me a little nervous, but Coach Saban has a pretty good track record when it comes to picking assistants.

Possibly. Stacy Searels might be an option as well. Supposedly Mack Brown, in another futile attempt to regain relevance, has decided to implement an Oregon-style offense.  Searels might have had enough of that shit.

IMO Stacy Searels is vastly overrated, sucks as a recruiter and is mildly cancerous to the team. Will Friend isn't a complete dickweed and is an Alabama alum and he's done a hell of a job here at UGA.

I mainly want someone who is a demon about proper technique.  That's what won us the GA game, IMO, rather than brute force.

Well that blows, Stoutland was solid.

Be interesting to hear what names come up.

Edit:

Although, this seems kind of telling...maybe.

Stoutland was the only Alabama assistant coach not to receive a raise after the 2011 season. He made a $395,000 salary.

Since it was obviously the staff that was making Saban look good, Alabama should fire Saban and Saban should be forced to go to Mizzou.

I think he didn't get a raise because of the Miami investigation. I was sad when Pendry left and Saban got a good one with Stoutland, so I don't think there'll be much of a dropoff.
