he is right, and funny how you point out a year when you actually beat the gators instead of the other twenty when you didnt
and while you were "one play away from the NC" understand we fumbled on two scoring opportunities in that game so I'll say you were almost 17 points away from the NC...........see how that works?

My point was UGA pulled out one hell of a season and yet UF still had better recruiting classes. High ranked classes are great but dont mean shit if as a team you still lose.

No.10 class in most years isn't that different from a No.1 class.
By the time those players are starters anyway.

I'm not saying I wouldn't love to have some of those guys, but it's not then end of the world either. Did AU land all of their targets? Did UF? Doubt it, you win some and you lose some.
Man, great troll thread skip, you steeped up to the plate on this one lol.
We lost one 4 star and gained (2) 5*. and a couple 3* from what i can figure. Filled needs with 6-7 juco

Well if you want to go by needs filled then we did just fine with our class. At least that's what I've read lol. I'll be the first to admit that I'm new to the recruiting game, only started following it this year.

I mean shit we signed 33 or so players. There was someone picking schools on ESPN yesterday that didn't even have an offer from UGA and had our hat on his table. I'm not lying, by the way. He had a Clemson hat and a Georgia hat and he didn't even have an offer from us.

So you're planning on beating Carolina this year for the first time in 4 years? Good luck with that!

I find it surprising that he WHIFFS on a lot of the high-end in-state talent.
We miss all the time on high end kids in Florida, but most of them are at boarding schools and aren't actually from here.
I did enjoy watching zero recruits pick UGA on ESPN yesterday.
Awesome!
HobnailedBoots, on 07 February 2013 - 09:12 AM, said:
Lol..... we signed 32 players (THIRTY-TWO!), 2 of which committed yesterday. Yeah, we sure whiffed on a lot of talent.
Ah, the birth of a meme. Wondrous to behold.
So you signed 10 more players than Carolina but only finished a few spots ahead? Awesome!
DCDawg, on 07 February 2013 - 09:59 AM, said:
I'll give you that we whiffed on a few state 5*s, but you went full stupid with this comment. Richt has cherry picked several tops recruits out of multiple southern states, incuding Florida. How quickly everyone forgets that we stole AJ Green right out of South Carolina, not to mention Aaron Murray from Florida and Mathew Stafford from Texas. I wont question Richt's recruiting after getting UGA to the SEC Championship two years in a row and 5 times in 12 years. I'll take that kind of success.
With your easy schedules, making it to Atlanta wasn't exactly a daunting task

Georgia was quite possibly one play from a NCC this year. One bad call to not go for 4th and 1 prior to Bama's last scoring drive. So that "mindset" had UGA knocking on the door last year. Not sure i get your point. You play your schedule. Last year UF was the toughest game on our schedule.
And here we go with the moral victory!
Dawgfan4life24, on 07 February 2013 - 10:37 AM, said:
How so? USC played UGA and then played worse the rest of the season. UGA lost to USC and continued to get better the rest of the season, Kept UF from scoring ANY touchdowns, held AU pointless, and beat our instate rival GT. As well as giving Bama one hell of a game.
How did we get worse? We finished 11-2 and our two losses were against teams ranked in the top 10. AU and GT were horrible this year so I wouldn't pin you season on those games. And again, you lost to Alabama, so did I mention moral victories already? I only say that cause you dog fans get on Carolina fans for doing the same thing!
