You can't cover up RIcht's inability to recruit.

He WHIFFED on the only 5*s in the state.

Muschump has WHIFFED 3/4 times beating rivals UGA and FSU. Both years having a better recruiting class than UGA...which shows that HS recruits mean very little when the season rolls around. I take a lower ranked recruiting class and a win vs UF every single year

And this is the mentality that keeps you out of the National championship game.    UF  win =  Greatest thing to achieve. National championship isnt even in your sightline

same thing happens with Auburn Vs Bama.   Except bama is the defending national championship so its probably more justified

Georgia was quite possibly one play from a NCC this year. One bad call to not go for 4th and 1 prior to Bama's last scoring drive. So that "mindset" had UGA knocking on the door last year. Not sure i get your point. You play your schedule. Last year UF was the toughest game on our schedule.

I'm not going to sit here and say we didn't want that handful of 5 star guys, but we had the vast majority of our needs filled without them. Tunsil was the only major miss.

Bottom line is that we signed a boatload of 4 star guys. Here are some other 4 star UGA recruits whose names you may recognize:

Knowshon Moreno
Todd Gurley
Justin Houston
Bacarri Rambo (actually a 3 star)
Malcolm Mitchell
Thomas Brown
Mohamed Massaquoi
Demarcus Dobbs (just played in the Super Bowl)
Brandon Boykin
John Jenkins
Dannell Ellerbe (actually a 3 star who just won the Super Bowl. He has outplayed Ray Lewis 2 years now and intercepted Tom Brady to clinch a spot in the Super Bowl)

I'm not offering any excuses for not signing those kids. I'm also not going to jump off a ledge like some fans either. If the coaching staff feels good with who we landed its fine by me. As far as I'm concerned we're in dang good shape.

I'm not saying I wouldn't love to have some of those guys, but it's not then end of the world either. Did AU land all of their targets? Did UF? Doubt it, you win some and you lose some.

Man, great troll thread skip, you steeped up to the plate on this one lol.

Your using logic. Which when it comes to hating UGA, these haters dont use

Dont get me wrong, it kills me when we lose to UGA, but I've seen plenty of UGA fans here mock USC fans for basing their whole season off of one game. Seems to me thats what you all do with the game vs us. Granted, its a much bigger rivalry for both of us but still...

All this hate from teams that have not beat us in years, especially Auburn. Y'all can keep your very subjective NSD winning, we'll just keep kicking your asses on the field with our 1* and 2* reject recruits.

Thats because by the time we play you, its usually for a spot in the SECC. So its kinda of a big deal!

How so? USC played UGA and then played worse the rest of the season.  UGA lost to USC and continued to get better the rest of the season, Kept UF from scoring ANY touchdowns, held AU pointless, and beat our instate rival GT. As well as giving Bama one hell of a game.

I won't go so far as to say our season isn't a success if we don't beat UF.  I don't put that much emphasis on the game, but any chance we do beat UF is awesome in my book.  I don't think I'd base a season of off any one game, that is unless you look back and one game costs you a shot at the BCS or something like that.

Other than that, I tend to look at the season as a whole.

Well Im not entirely talking about this specific season. A big loss like that at the start of a season is a big deal. You all did finish strong and they did end up struggling though this year. But to be fair, I kinda do base our season on if we beat you guys and FSU. I think that if we can win both those games in a year, there is a darn good chance that we are having a solid season.

Exactly. I base our season on the tough games and SEC games after that.
