There were four five-stars in Georgia this year. UGA signed zero. And the Bulldogs only have two commits from top 15 players in Georgia.

Well done guys. Richt is really tearing it up.

We had no chance at RN. Ole Miss signed his brother. We had very little possible chance with Foster who grew up in Alabama before moving to Georgia as an Alabama fan, and was moved to Auburn. Montravius Adams was a legit loss. Not sure who the other five star is.

Not making excuses but well, there you have it. We did pull in some decent out of state talent though like Tramel Terry and so on.

Lawson.   But you guys gotta jump on those recruits  there needs to be more of a strategy to getting the top guys.

I don't know why we never went after Lawson. I've heard everything from he made it clear we had no chance from the start to he wouldn't qualify or didn't fit our scheme. IDK. Usually when we don't go after an instate five star there has to be some kind of reason. My guess is they didn't think he'd fit the scheme

I've heard the disinterest was mutual. We didn't even offer him ,so it's hard to count HIM as a miss. He is kind of small for a defensive end, but not small enough to transition into a 3-4 OLB. I don't know, I don't always agree with our coaches evaluation either. The fact that Alabama didn't offer him either is a pretty good sign that there is some kind of schematic issue with him for the 3-4, or that he simply didn't want to play for the 3-4.

So much trash talk for finishing two spots better.

But at least Auburn took a guy from clemson so y'all are on my good side for now
“We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.”

I dont understand why UGA cant pull in the recruits.  They were 3 yards shy of  playing for a natty.   Are the facility not comparable?   I already know about the coaching.  Do they not offer recruits moms  jobs and then have them sign with the rival team?

I didn't know that about Foster.  That makes the media questions about why he choose Alabama over Georgia all the more stupid and whether he was worried about what the folks around him would think.  He's not a native....so why would he care?

The state of Georgia produces about 150 D1 players if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, we can't sign that many.

UGA typically finishes ranked top 5 or 10 in recruiting. So it's a stretch to say the coaches can't pull in the recruits.

But I do think Richt tries to play things fairly clean, which may be a disadvantage with some guys.

Add that to the fact that the Atlanta metro area is so diverse...just because a kid lives in GA doesn't mean his family has lasting connections there or that he grew up a UGA fan.

He wasn't including Foster. The four 5*s are Nkemdiche, Lawson, Adams and Vonn Bell.
