Xbox markets better, thats about it....seriously compare the specs on top of the line ps3 to top of the line xbox, ps3 is and has been a far more capable versatile, well built machine. Xbox just has decently better controllers and SOME games that are better. ie halo. I still say that infamous is the best console game I have played to date though.

Xbox Live is a bazillion times better the Sonys online marketplace. There is no comparison in my opinion.

Yes. It was announced about 4-6 months ago and for weeks following the announcement, all I did on SECTalk was post gifs from the trailer. Needless to say, I am pumped about this game. Thank you for posting this and giving me a chance to get excited again.

Biased?

You realize that Sony has lost hundreds of thousands of credit card numbers and personal information having to completely shut down their online servers for a very extended amount of time......

Loosing banking records and having to shut down your service is just about as bad as it gets.

How am I biased? Because I don't want to have my identity stolen? It's not fun, I have had to deal with it once before. Anyone who trusts a company who ha already given out all that information is a complete idiot in my book.

Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me.

Don't get me wrong though, I still smile every time a PS3 walks out my doors :)

nope, you're biased because if you were being objective you would have aknowledged the good things about ps3, so far all you've done is bash it and build up xbox, aka, biased. I don't give a shit, I just call it out when I see it.

I know you are in the video game selling business ,but does your company only  sell the current generation of games? Theres a place here called Replays that sells old  school nes snes gb gensis ps1 ps2 n64 and dreamcast stuff as well as dvds and current generation games. I love shopping there because I collect nes and snes games and their prices are always better compared to ebay and online places. Just wondered how your business works.Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me.

I have already said it was more powerful and had a bigger following in Japan. And yes it didn't have as many defects as the 360 did when they first came out.

*edit -- Oh your answere got mixed up in my post.

*edit (again)

No I don't carry anything older then this current generation. There is just not enough profit in it for it to take up space. I wish I could but it is not money smart for where I am.

Microsoft has already taken almost 50% sales away from Sony. I think they are just fine :)

No new content format will come out this console cycle. It will be a contest of power and how much each brand can improve there online content base. More like the xbox vs ps2 battle. If Microsoft incorporates blu-ray then expect them to greatly outsell Sony's new system. The Xbox is gaining momentum in Japan allowing it to gain ground on Sony. They already outsell them handily in the States but as they sell more in more in Japan they will out-distance themselves with sights on Nintendo.

As far as search wise Sony is behind in terms of a search engine on a console, Microsoft has already introduced Bing and integrated it through the Xbox live system and it works great. Also Microsoft already has Cloud storage so again Sony is behind.

As far as Sony being ahead of Microsoft in terms of formatting. Both sides chose what they thought was the best. Sony went Blu-ray, Microsoft went Hd-Dvd. Sony made the right choice as it was picked up by Disney and all bets were off. But we just as easily be here talking about how Blu-ray never was.

Lol, If that was true Microsoft wouldn't have already outsold the PS3 without the help of the majority of Japan. Bing is actually a great source if you know how to use it. I book all my travel through their because it gives you price indicators on if it is a good time to buy. IT can predict if ticket prices are expected to go down or go up.

Two examples of me saying the PS3 has a larger following in Japan and they outsell Xbox by a huge margin. And me giving props on Sony for picking the right new format.

I said Sony had the more powerful console in a different thread. Which is why I made this thread. Refer to the OP where I said we hijacked another thread. I just dont remember what thread it was. I was talking to @thedoctor he might remember.

I interrupt this argument to say...

Nerds fight over gaming consoles.

Ok, please continue.

It was called the Yellow Light of Death.

It was not as prominate as the Red Ring of Death but many a Ps3's fell victim to it.
