I wont be buying it anyway, but it looks bulky and just...terribad..like worst controller I've seen since gamecube.

Hey the Gamecube controller was one of the most comfortable ever made. It's button layout was god aweful though. The worst controller ever made was he very first Xbox controller. The BRICK.

It's that time fella. We are going to get the big announcment from Sony today. Prolly won't get any kind of price points but start saving your pennies. My littles birds are saying two different setups again. A good one for 499 and a cheapo for 399

I'll be waiting to see the specs, and if they really do take away used game playability. I haven't even scratched the surface of ps3 games to play, so I'll probably be waiting a pretty long while to upgrade

Guys, The console manufactures couldn't give two shits about used game sales. It doesn't hurt them in the least as far as console sales. It might hurt there 1st party games that companys come out with like Halo or Gran Turismo. But console sales doesn't matter in the slightest. The big three (nintendo, Sony, Microsoft) love used games because it means more people to buy DL which they get a piece of. The people who hate used games are the game makers (EA,Activision,Ubi-Soft) thats why they have been putting one time codes for online play. Don't worry about not being able to use used games, They are here to stay.

At least it better or I am going to have to find a real job.....

Just feels perfect. Just was part of the wrong system.

Kind of amped to hear the Sony press conference this afternoon. I don't have money to spend on a new console right now, or in the near future, but I may by the time they release the "Orbis."

There is always a lay over when a new console is debuting and the older one is going strong. Hell they just stopped making the PS2. I wouldn't expect to many features on the new Playstation on launch day to not also be available on the PS3. The games will not be that much of a difference. Prob, would still be better on the PS3 for the first couple months until the game makers really start to understand what all they have to work with. Was like that with Madden when it was released on the Xbox / Xbox 360 / PS2 / PS3 -- The Xbox 360 and PS2 version was better then the PS3 and Xbox 360 version.

Man that whole system was on a whole other kind of level of fail!

Although they had one game that was amazing and way ahead of its time. Shenmue

Are they really gonna kill backwards-compatibility? I don't want another gaming console cluttering up my junk closet. Don't get me wrong; I still whip out the old NES from time to time, but DAMN.

They already have. The PS3 wont play any PS2 games unless you have the old 60gb system that first came out. And the Xbox 360 will only play certain Xbox games.

I really have not heard a straight answer on this one and doubt we will here it tonight, but if I was a betting person I would say no on backwards complatibility because later on they will want you to buy it again through the streaming market place.

Backwards compatabililty would be a bigger issue for me if I played video games a ridiculous amount or even played them again once I've beaten them.

For me, it's not an issue at all.

That being said, I'm in the same boat as Jacob.  There's a ridiculous amount of PS3 games I'm backlogged on.  Currently playing Red Dead Redemption, just beat Borderlands and the God of War Series.

Red Dead is amazing. Just a fun game. I spent a hour just riding my horse around the game.

*Edit -- Taking Red Dead home tonight......
