The best ad in the 2013 Super Bowl was not the Jamaican VW commercial, though it was up there – and kudos to VW for not backing down and kowtowing to the left-wing scolds who would with cries of racism decree it as unacceptable for a white guy to speak in a Jamaican accent in public.

Nor was it the Budweiser ad with the baby clydesdale, though that was also a good ad.

And the Skeechers Cheeta Ad was outstanding and was right up there with the best ever, it is in second place.

No, the best ad was the Dodge Ram “So God Made A Farmer” ad. With Paul Harvey as the narrator. That ad was understated, respectful, patriotic and unlike too many of this year’s Super Bowl ads it was a tribute to Dodge’s customers rather than a sales pitch.
It was a classy ad. It tugged at your heartstrings.
And even though Dodge is Chrysler, and even though Chrysler was ripped away from the bondholders by the Obama administration and given away to Fiat, this was still an ad worth celebrating.

these things get worse every year imo. I didn't find a single one funny, and constantly found myself muting them

Wasn't really overly impressed by the ads this year.  That said the three that I remember liking were the Budweiser Clydesdale, Dodge (God made a farmer), and the VW.  Those three were good, the rest were just regular ol' commercials, nothing special.

The dodge one didnt catch my interest. It was boring and i was trying to fast forward during it. The only ones I truly liked was the Doritios commercial, The VW one was fine. The only reason people watch the commercials is for the funny.

Those old folks in the taco bell commercial made me proud of them. What is funny is that we were discussing old folks homes last sat night and i told my kids if they put me in one i was gonna escape, grab my 4 wheeler, grab that new credit card that comes in the mail every day, haul ass to bass pro shop and max that thing out. (btw my 4 wheeler will do 70.) then take off to where they can't find me. i ain't going to the old folks home!    damit!

even though id never own a dodge in my life, i thought the dodge ram commercial was the best one ive seen in a while. that commercial spoke to its targeted audience, which is what a commercial is supposed to do. and it was very effective in doing so.
