Adrian Peterson.

Pound for pound he's probably one of the strongest, plus he's got amazing speed and quickness. Has the toughness to get pounded on by 300 lb. guys all game. He's got the mental toughness to recover from an injury that makes an athlete like him basically start over with leg strength. And his hand eye coordination is amazing. We're talking milliseconds between seeing an opportunity and cutting into the hole with explosive strength, then the speed to outrun everyone once he gets through it.

Most athletic person in sports today

They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.”

Eh, I don't think Tiger/golf counts. Not necessarily talking the most successful athletes. I'm talking mostly measurables, athletic instincts, and highlight reels.

I would also suggest Kobe, but he's gotten old.

golf is the hardest sport on the planet, it just doesn't require sheer athletic talent in the normal sense. Golf is in a class of its own, but tiger would have to be included in any discussion simply because of the level of difficulty.

but..for typical sport, lebron, and its not even close, I hate having this discussion honestly.

I think you misunderstand. Golf is not physically taxing.

Insert Tiger Woods into the NBA or NFL. Now is he one of the greatest athletes today in sports? He can't even stay healthy playing golf.

And I don't hate Tiger woods.

Lots of athletes from other sports play golf.....as a leisure activity. No way golf demands athleticism. Not many golfers who play other sports.

You guys are ignoring a sport that arguably requires more pure athleticism than any other sport.

My nomination is Cristiano Ronaldo, this man is a freak of nature

well now you have to define sport to define the athelete ...see what I'm saying? Golf may be the hardest sport out there but take any of them and put them in another sport and 99% would fail hard, that's why you can't compare

Wasn't this a thread like two weeks ago?

Anyway, I say Neil Caudle. He completed 100% of his passes his senior season, averaged 14.5 YPC for his career, and took the game-winning snap of the 2010 BCS national championship. He is literally the only person in the world who can list those three things on his resume. It's hard to beat that.

I kept failing a math test at the University of Alabama because every time I added 5+3 I got 8 and they kept insisting that the right answer was 14.

...No.....just no....Those qualities dont make him the most athletic. they just make people think oh he was the backup.

That was Cam who showed his impressive athleticism. Not caudle. He just threw the pass.

Cam ran probably about 60-70. Caudle moved maybe 5. Throwing the ball while standing still isnt all that athletic.
