I kid mostly, but I'd be lying if I said it was a priority like basketball and football, we were good in the B12, but I fully expect us to be mid to low in the SEC.

West: whoever wins the Arkansas/LSU series
SEC Tourney champ: Arkansas
All four of them for the CWS probably.

But it won't be easy - as it never is. UF is still loooaaaded. SC has a lot of returning starters that played to the CWS champ. series last year - just that small matter of replacing Roth, Price, Walker, and Tanner. Kentucky is going to be really good. LSU is LSU - 10,000 strong and a bunch of talent. Miss and Miss St. both have a bunch of talent.
It's gonna be another standard year in the SEC. Last weekend of the season, both divisions will still be up for grabs. And, like in football, the bottom of the SEC wins most conferences. So there's not a weekend off - ever.
I'm so excited I can't stand it. I love baseball, and hate MLB. So this is all the baseball I get. Good thing it's the best baseball there is. Somebody pitch.

They usually field a a good, but not great team, and after all the chest-beating and arrogance (rightfully so, I might add) during football season and here lately during basketball season, it sure is
And of course, @GoldenRebel has covered the rest in his lesson to Mizzou fans, so that's done.

Now for some USC Baseball perspective:
The Cocks' pitching shouldn't experience a dropoff if you really want my opinion. I swear Jordan Montgomery is Michael Roth 2.0 - dude just puts the ball wherever the heck he wants. I'm also giddy about freshman Jack Wynkoop. Plus we have an abudance of top level senior throwers who have been there and done that.
On top of that, the entire infield returns, except Christian Walker (1st base). The loss of Walker will hurt, but Kyle Martin is about as perfect as a replacement as you can get, IMO. His bat should be replaced by freshman phenom Max Schrock. Dude was born to swing a bat. Grayson Greiner might be the best returning defensive catcher in the league. Outfield returns 2 of 3 with the loss of Evan Marzilli (don't get me wrong - he will be greatly missed) at CF. Tanner English will take his spot, and TJ Costen should slide over to LF. The third spot should be an interesting battle that may not be settled until a couple of weeks into the season.

Get with it, mayne. Baseball in the SEC is tons-o-fun. It's really the only college sport I can get into, other than football of course.

I mean they really have a lot of... talent.
Look at that Florida team. They're just oozing with... talent.
Sorry Gators - couldn't help myself.

I haven't followed spring practice much so this could be completely different now. But a month ago the expected positions were:
C- Greiner
1B - Dantzler
2B- Schrock
SS- Pankake
3B- Vergason (w/ Iskenderian a strong contender)
LF- Saiko
CF- English (Is he definitely switch hitting this year or was that something they're tinkering with?)
RF- Costen
DH- Payne, Kyle Martin
Ahmad Christian is supposedly a threat for the OF corner postions. Sounds like Shon Carson is probably going to make the team too. There was a cool picture of Carson almost safe in a straight steal of home in scrimmage
Sounds like Nolan Belcher has been great in spring scrimmages so it'll be interesting to see if he can beat Wynkoop to be the Sunday starter.
I really know nothing how the other teams are different this season. Everyone seems to love Vandy and Arkansas so I'll buy them as the favorites

I doubt it matters who their third guy is when you have those two for Friday and Saturday.
We have no idea who our 3rd guy will be yet.
But we do have Karsten Whitson (No.9 overall pick in the 2010 draft) and Jonathon Crawford (pitched a no-hitter last year).
I like our chances to improve a lot down the stretch.
