Thanks for all the input and keep it coming. I don't think we're necessarily going down hill. In fact I think we've pretty much settled into our niche. We used to have these kinds of interventions every other month just a few years ago so it really shows you how far we've come.

And agreed about the politics/religion. That's partially why we created a new sub forum for it. It should be treated like the trash talk forum and everything that happens inside should remain inside. We shouldn't let those disagreements spill over into other parts of the board and that probably is the biggest problem. It does keep things interesting, yes, but it also drives people away when they see these types of attacks being cloned out in the open.

One other thought I have is to kind of restructure the social groups so that each team's group is listed under the team's main forum, like the news forums are. That way new users can find them easier and they will overall be easier to get to.

What do you think?

Would be excellent, I think.

Good plan. And I don't mind the spirited discussions. You gotta have a little spice to make a great gumbo.

As a whole I don't think the quality of the site has really gone down much at all.

Over the past year trolling is probably the most extensive it's ever been on this site.   Part of the reason is because most of them do have boundaries and are just trying to have fun with others.   As opposed to past trolls we've had, few are anywhere near a longterm ban for their actions (I assume), and as such it's still been pretty tolerable.  I do like the idea of cracking down on where trolling takes place though.

There have been times in the past where I thought about giving up on this site as a lost cause like all other sports message boards.   I don't think that's happened once in the last year.   (Maybe I just have thicker skin in my old age though.)

As always, excellent work by all the Administrators and Mods.

One thing I would like to inquire about is the availability of International Football (soccer) logos in our favorite teams box.
There are several of us (about 7-10 ppl at last count) who support teams in the English Premier League, for instance. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could those perhaps become available for us? If it's too much trouble, that's fine, but I just thought I'd ask about it.

Keep up the great work y'all.

I think if you'd ban Kentucky fans during basketball season and Bama fans during football season it would be a better place.

I really miss the rep systems and social groups of old. But a ton of issues came with those.  I prefer the relaxed moderation of late but attacks and trolling to calm a bit.

We need to find some lsu fans

I'm glad you said that.............while the rep was cool, it was the basis of alot of the problems we had, especially rep cliques, these cliques ganging up on others, etc so I'm for not having rep back, high fives suffice in telling a poster you enjoyed his words.............and the relaxation on language and mods not banning people left and right has been to the benefit of the board

like 'qit said, I'm for emoticons (funny ones like the kiffin) for shit, damn, asshole, etc..............funny thing is, that would kinda take the passion out of an argument where they are cursing each other out, reading it would be more funny than anything

I enjoy the more laid back environment as far as cussing and what not....let's be honest there aren't gonna be many 5 year olds getting on here looking for information. That being said though we shouldn't allow it to get where every page has a 3 paragraph rant that sounds like it was written by George Carlin. That extreme could turn people away, but I've never seen it get to that.

The trolling has gotten worse, but I don't really mind because once you know people here you know how to take them. Like you said it would probably help a lot to just eliminate it completely from team forums. That way new posters could get a feel for things in the subforum for their team, and ease into things in the more general forums like "SEC football" or the "water fountain".

I don't really care if someone attacks me personally, but I understand it can turn people off so that should probably be monitored more closely. Just as long as I can still call OP phaggots then I'm all good.

Overall I love the site. It is by far the most open and user friendly site I've been to.

One suggestion I would give is if we are planning on having a home page we need to make sure all of the information is up to date, fresh, and updated often.  It know it takes man power, but since it is the face of the site I think it is important.  I'll be willing to help out however I can.

Keep up the great work @Benny and guys.
I'd be willing to too. We need to put the basketball standings where the football standings are and we need atleast one basketball article per week.

Thanks for the work, fellas.  No input from me.

Except I'm really itching to post a gif in here now.
