we all know its coming but what teams do you really think will be the final two?, I think if the sec really wants into the N.C., and D.C. area they'll go the easy route and get UNC and Virginia

Why would they take uva over vt??

They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.”

I think it will be Va Tech and NC State. I just don't see Oklahoma and Oklahoma State coming although I want them the most.

UVA is a better sports program overall
Well we don't play soccer or lacrosse in the SEC so I'm not sure they'd bring much to the table other than baseball, and I'm not sure if the past two seasons weren't a fluke as far as UVA baseball is concerned. I don't remember hearing much about them before that.
Obviously they'd be top notch as far as academics though. That makes me think they'd be more likely to end up in the big 10.

Tennis and golf are all better programs that Tech football I think.
They probably have the ability to "grow" more than V-Tech does would be my guess and they don't have any programs that are just truely God-awful.
I would prefer Tech I think, though.
No one would be best case scenario.

I'd prefer vt, but you may be right about uva having more potential in the future. And they do bring more in almost every area other than football. I guess it's just the perception I have of vt being a better fit as far as culture is concerned.

Yea, I really don't like the idea of adding UVA or UNC.
UF has a lot of nerds these days, but we don't even compare to those two.

a West Virginia fan on another board said if the SEC thinks Virginia Tech will get them the DC television market then they're gonna be in for a big surprise cause Blacksburg is 4th in the DC market behind everyone else , Blacksburg is closer to Eastern Morgantown than Washington DC

VaTech is BY FAR the better fit over UVA. Not even close. UVA has little to no fan support. VaTech IS going to be in the SEC. Guaranteed.
