Sure we can build it here, in ANY state, but they don't want to pay for it to be built here and they wouldn't buy them. People forget that China is still a very very poor country on the whole. Hell, they wanted to pay me about $100 a week to live in some village somewhere when I was looking at teaching in Asia. I made more than that in the capital city of South Korea in a day.

The Chinese can't afford American made Jeeps, so the company expanded its production. Why don't you understand this? They're going to make money that is going to come to the USA and I'm sure some jobs will be created to oversee the production. Again, no American is losing a job to a Chinese person here, and that's why this is a lie as told by Romney. Again, you might as well be saying that Starbucks should just make coffee here then mail it all over the world.

did we even attempt to export JEEP? Do we retool a closed plant in a right to work state to export JEEP to the Asian market? No, we went straight to building another factory in China and setting up a company in China that will keep the money in China and will be able to export JEEP products right back here. I understand they are not doing it now but give it time. The same reason it more cost effective to build them there for that market will be the justification to import them here.

i get your point, but come on. You admitted they aren't doing that now, thus that makes what Romney said a Lie. True I suppose it could later change so I will give you that, but what he said at the time and as of right now is still a lie.

It went from un thinkable to likely pretty quickly (oct/nov - jan). I assume it was already in the works and based on that it wasnt a lie.

we should force apple to build ipads and iphones here otherwise we wont buy them. this can work both ways. jeep for doing this, ill never buy a jeep product for selling out america so easily.
