Hearing neither Smart or Grantham were actually offered this job and it was a rumor from a certain rival's coach... shouldn't be hard to read inbetween the lines.

Well now it's sounding like Philly may really have offered Grantham, but not Smart - and Philly is turning up the heat on Grantham. God, pretty awful timing if true.

that number is suspect since your rush defense wasnt as good. it was the same for us several years ago when we statistically had one of the top pass defenses in the nation (#2 if i remember correctly). the problem was that we absolutely couldnt stop the run, so every team was runnning against us, and simply not going to the pass. we also had one of the worst overall defenses in the sec that same year.

Grantham is kind of pissing me off on this one if it turns out no one has even offered him a job. If no one is coming for him, why not just wipe out the rumors? Just to help his reputation/stock is all I can think of. This can't be good for recruiting, especially when we have a few that are on the fence. Now on the other hand if he is being offered and just waiting to NSD.... still pissed off but not so much at him.
