High five for being clever. I didn't know that you were a Lord of the Rings nerd. I always found the elves a little too nonchalant about Sauron regaining the Ring. Yeah, I know they're leaving Middle-earth, but they should have had more of a care about the whole thing. There were other races who could not so easily seek the Blessed realm, men, dwarves, Hobbits for example. Besides, had Sauron gotten the Ring back, he could have finally been strong enough to seize the Grey Havens.
Yeah, I quite enjoy Tolkien's writings and his style. It's always very descriptive, although sometimes that can be a menace, as he'll lose you in some of his other works. I'm not quite sure when it was produced, but when I was very young I was given the LOTR Trilogy and The Hobbit under one big cover with some nice artwork on it. It has the scene of when Smaug was attacking the dwarve's Mountain once Bilbo and his dwarves re-take it.
I eventually got around to getting Unfinished Tales from a fellow I helped move when I was living in Senatobia 5 years ago, and then two weeks ago, bought The Book of Lost Tales 1&2 from a Books A Million in Southaven.
But yeah, the Elves are a curious bunch. Almost dangerously recklessly so.
