Too true, indeed, it cannot.

Yet it is oft the course of deeds that move the wheels of the world: Small hands do them because they must, while the eyes of the great are elsewhere.”  ( <----I'm sure you know where I got that from?)

That is Elrond addressing the Fellowship right before they leave Rivendell if I am not mistaken.
If Ole Miss wins this season's Egg Bowl, I will change my username to FreezeownsMullen for the duration of one complete year. And I will also add a picture of the Ole Most players celebrating in DWS.

When State wins, Rebelfan4life must rename himself MSUownsOM for the duration of one complete year.

High five for being clever. I didn't know that you were a Lord of the Rings nerd. I always found the elves a little too nonchalant about Sauron regaining the Ring. Yeah, I know they're leaving Middle-earth, but they should have had more of a care about the whole thing. There were other races who could not so easily seek the Blessed realm, men, dwarves, Hobbits for example. Besides, had Sauron gotten the Ring back, he could have finally been strong enough to seize the Grey Havens.

Yeah, I quite enjoy Tolkien's writings and his style. It's always very descriptive, although sometimes that can be a menace, as he'll lose you in some of his other works. I'm not quite sure when it was produced, but when I was very young I was given the LOTR Trilogy and The Hobbit under one big cover with some nice artwork on it. It has the scene of when Smaug was attacking the dwarve's Mountain once Bilbo and his dwarves re-take it.

I eventually got around to getting Unfinished Tales from a fellow I helped move when I was living in Senatobia 5 years ago, and then two weeks ago, bought The Book of Lost Tales 1&2 from a Books A Million in Southaven.

But yeah, the Elves are a curious bunch. Almost dangerously recklessly so.

I love the LOTR and the The Hobbit. I waded through a good bit of The Silmarillion, but never could sink my teeth into it much. It's cumbersome, lol. I love that the Hobbits are so anachronistic. They are essentially, 18th century Englishmen caught in a world so much older and so alien from their own.

I've never read The Silmarillion in it's entirety, but I have a theory about that particular work, and it involves Tolkien's pipe and what exactly he was smoking when he wrote it.  But I agree, an apt description of the Hobbits.

But anyway, been a hell of a day in this thread, but I have to check out.

Until tomorrow @1dawgfan09, as Churchill would say, keep buggering onwards!

we should get all our recruits to do a mass instagram of them flashing stacks of cash....the 2*s should only be allowed to flash rolled coins though.

Really? Just last week you were screaming victory and bashing State fans like Beavis chewing on coffee beans.

lol run.

Why did you have to turn this into a race war?

PS  you might want to change your avatar.  Remember when y'all thought losing to Northwestern was the lowest point of the football season?  How does that feel in comparison to losing all of your good recruits?

I don't hate Ole Miss, regardless of what some of your more thin-skinned fans may think.

Dude it's fine if you hate Ole Miss....just don't claim to not hate Ole Miss and trash us at every turn.  That's worse.  I'd rather you just say you hate our :lanekiffin: in' guts and be done with it.  Then when you potty face us, we don't have to sit here and say, "yeah but this guy says he DOESN'T hate Ole Miss.  So I guess it's okay if he pounds away at us all the time."

I know it's fine if I hate Ole Miss.
I don't though. I've actually defended the school on several occasions, but no one ever remembers those times.
I just hate your posters. Well, some of them.
