in doing some research, i saw where cord's dad was drafted and ended up spending 3 years in the minors before he tore up his knee.....that alone might be enough to push cord to starkville and to playing football, but that is purely speculative on my part.....also, in doing some quick research, his mlb draft stock might have been a little over-stated.  im seeing a lot of reports of his talents being "raw"....so, who knows.  if he legitimately gets offered big money, i expect him to be gone, but that may not happen based on some half-hearted internet research on my part.  based on our luck, hes a first round lock.

Not so fast my friend!

I refuse to concede Mr. Jones. While there is still a chance, I say we push on.
In regards to Connor, I don't think we have to worry about him heading to Starkville. I like how they got DeShea Townsend for SP recruiting purposes, and already that's backfired. Can't you imagine it?

-Townsend: "Tony, I think you should come to Mississippi State. Why? Because we are committed to recruiting in-state people and winning championships with in-state players. That's our top priority, and I believe it with all my heart.

-Connor: "Uh, DeShea, didn't you play for Alabama and win a NC with Alabama?"

-Townsend: (Awkward silence)

I suppose we'll have to wait and see.
His visit to Bama was on the 11th, and he came to Oxford last weekend, so it remains to be seen.
Is he visiting Starkville this weekend?

Wasn't aware that anyone ever said he was. Or, if he is, I haven't heard of it.

In the middle of this silly season, I've been known to lose track of who is visiting whom and when, and sometimes get the wrong recruit's name on where he is visiting and who he is visiting.

Maybe it's Jones who is visiting Starkville this weekend?

Looks like Sandberg is definitely going to the MLB:

I had heard that Jones was visiting one or the other. Then I heard that he was visiting both and then no one. Who knows?

He knows full well that the MLB Draft hasn't happened and that Sandberg doesn't have a contract. He's trying to say that we paid him that money as a response to screenshots of certain OM recruits dropping bills.

The way Treadwell and Sandberg have gone about this are uncannily similar.
