Depends on how good Donovan's zone is. If we're cold from outside like we seem to be often, it'll be an ugly night. Florida seems like a pretty athletic team, how often do you guys even use the zone? I'd imagine that team would be strongest just playing man to man.

Our defense in general is very good.
Held 8 of 14 opponents to under 50 points, giving up 52 ppg.

We are best in man-to-man, but Donovan switches to zone and back at really strange times.
Sort of like his press. I can never predict when he is going to do it. He'll do it even if man-on-man is working perfectly sometimes.
We probably use it 20% of the time.

Kentucky could go .500 and would still make the tournament.  They would get in on name alone.  Alot like LSU in football.

LSU baseball got shut out of the tourney two or three years ago?

Kentucky is in some MASSIVE trouble right now given their current resume.  As it stands, the game at Florida is looking like a must win for us.  Then again, almost every game for us will be important given the fact that the SEC overall will not help our RPI, SOS, etc.

Yet again the rebounding comes down to two things.  Rebounding technique and the strength needed to not get pushed around.  Our guys need to add some weight and someone needs to teach them how to use proper technique.  However in practice we have seen them working on rebounding but I don't see that happening in games.

If we can fix our chemistry issues or rebounding, our team will INSTANTLY be better and it will be very noticeable.
What I don't get is why we don't see it in games. A&M is somewhat explicable...we knew they were a long and athletic team akin to Baylor.  We should have known what to expect going in.  But against Vandy?  I just can't understand it at all.  While we're on that subject, everyone was referring to us being fortunate to get out of Memorial with a W because it's always tough, but look at how abysmal, once again, they were on Saturday.   There was just no excuse for that game to have ever been close at the end.

Lunardi has UK as a 10 seed and North Carolina as an 11 seed right now.
Kentucky isn't easy to predict though since they probably have the biggest variance from the beginning to the end of a season.

I think those projections too came before the Texas A&M game (at least according to another UK poster on another site).  As it stands, I don't think we will make the NCAA tournament unless we pick up some quality wins like against you all as well Missouri.  That also means taking care of the opponents we should beat and at this point, that is very questionable at that...

It came out after the A&M game.

There was a blog about it on ESPN.
Considering Maryland will probably not do well the rest of the way it doesn't look good.

UK only has four chances for decent wins.

Most likely we will have to win at least 3 of those.  If we split, we need to hold serve in our other games too.  I think if we are close to getting in, we might get a nod because we are Kentucky (I'm more about the merits of getting in but in this day and age its all about who can travel the best..) but I'd rather not have to resort to relying on that.  Regardless we have a looooooooooooooooooong way to go.

Just win and the rest will take care of itself.

I think the number of Kentucky fans on suicide watch just went up substantially.

I ran off SECats too soon.

Just kidding.
I think he saw the writing on the wall and needed a reason for an exit.

Yeah I haven't seen him around at all lately.  Although its hard to say I can't blame him.  This has been a rather tough year to be a UK fan.

He left the site permanently and blamed me for it.

I'd love to celebrate this win but I think it's against site rules
