No, seriously. Would failing to make the dance put Cal in big trouble, or would the fans and AD just write it off as an unlucky year?

His seat isn't even remotely warm after having the first 3 seasons he had here and winning a National Title.  He'll be okay if they don't make the dance this year.  He could probably afford it next year as well (but there would be a lot of pissed off people thats for sure).  Past that?  No way in hell.

I've got one thing to say to anyone in the BBN who agrees with the nasty fan's tweet that Poythress and Goodwin should leave and never come back... These guys chose to come here, they didn't have to... Coach Calipari chose to come here, and he didn't have to... Your obsession and ugly attitude is exactly the kind of thing that makes sports no fun, and more importantly an esteemed coach entertain moving on to other opportunities. UK Basketball isn't about Kentucky's Fans... It's about the Players that represent our school on the court. And if our Fan base is so self serving, and obsessed with winning, that we would throw our own under the bus? I wouldn't blame anybody for looking the other way. Be Careful what you Wish for. This isn't the NBA. I just hope Coach Cal and our team can see past the Ugly, and appreciate those of us who are Proud to be TRUE BLUE. Go CATS!!!

Its a small minority. Every fan base has them.

Man it just makes me crazy...  I can't stand people that think like that.  I'm just letting off some steam for any other cocky entitled fan.  Evidently the Gillespie years weren't enough for some people.

Just because the team is struggling doesn't mean the players aren't trying.  Some of the players might not just be clicking chemistry wise and thats why we aren't playing well.  Regardless I'm not throwing the kids under the bus and I won't ever but some of the players are leaving a lot left to be desired.  Hopefully Kentucky rebounds but at this rate its very hard to see that.

I think Harrow's quote yesterday about himself, Archie, and Nerlens being out there busting ass and that some of the others need to buy in is pretty telling that some of them in fact aren't trying.  Poythress has to be candidate #1 there.  Wiltjer....well....if you can't play defense or consistently hit jumpers, I don't know what to say.

Wiltjer's defense has always been suspect and thats quite obvious now.  He isn't the quickest on his feet and thats why teams go after him when he is on the floor.  AT best he is average on defense but in order for him to be useful, he MUST be making shots.  The fact is he isn't and thats why Cal doesn't use him as much as he did last year.

Noel and Harrow are showing lots of improvement and I'm proud of them both.  Goodwin still makes way too many boneheaded plays but sometimes when you watch him I do think he is making an attempt to do things the right way.  Poythress..... ehhh its a bit frustrating.  I haven't seen much from him.  WCS is still up and down IMO but he has shown some improvement.

I think this team still doesn't have that good of chemistry nor do they rebound well which are some of the big reasons why we are currently struggling.

This.
All the SEC schools are screwed when it comes to seeding, but UF, UK, and Mizzou will get in just fine.
Let's not forget the current #1 team in the SEC too, Ole Miss.

The rebounding really frustrates me.   Countless times we're not even attemtping to get down low and get the weak side rebound.

Yet again the rebounding comes down to two things.  Rebounding technique and the strength needed to not get pushed around.  Our guys need to add some weight and someone needs to teach them how to use proper technique.  However in practice we have seen them working on rebounding but I don't see that happening in games.

If we can fix our chemistry issues or rebounding, our team will INSTANTLY be better and it will be very noticeable.
