The University of Florida baseball program announced on Wednesday that outfielder Tyler Thompson (Tequesta, Fla.) will not play for the Gators during the 2013 season.

Really bad news for us.
I was hoping he would be back this year, but I know he can't have been happy about being passed over for a younger player.
