Buying a new Oxy-Acetylene rig as we speak coincidentally.

Very nice. I'm working on my vertical welds.

That's all well and good. But nobody outside of Kentucky ever considers basketball season as a equal replacement for football season. Nothing but next football season can fill that void.

Equal hell, when you are at Kentucky...there is no choice.

Basketball >>> Football

I always hate it when football season is over. Basketball takes up some of the slack, but nothing like those highly anticipated Saturday afternoons or better yet, nights when we feel the crackling excitement in the air all week. it is rarefied air, alright. All those cold days when nothing is better than hot chili bubbling on the stove and football every place you look. I love it. We will once again miss it, but don't forget spring practice is right around the corner. Time to dream anew of another grand season of watching our favorite teams. Crying with them, laughing with them, winning or losing but loving that football game and that team so much!

Recruiting until Feb and then it's re-watching most of the season, or having the games going in the background. Never ends for me at least, hell I never want this season to end.

The worst part of the year is that like 3 or so month stretch where that god awful excuse for a sport they call baseball is the only "sport" on TV.

One does not simply throw towards Cameron Sutton.

First, congrats to Bama on the NC. Solid season capped off with a flawless performance in the BCS Championship.

But still.... still I'm sad. Not for what Bama did or Auburn didn't do. No my sadness runs deeper than that. I'm sad that when the final seconds of the game tonight ticked away it was not just that game coming to an end. No, it also heralded the end of the 2012 college football season. Sure, we've still got the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl left to go. And there will be the usual Blue / Gray and Senior Bowls. But none of that is college football... real college football anyway. No, it's over. Welcome to the post season, boys. :$

Dammit Vader, you're not supposed to acknowledge it. Acknowledging it makes it real. Do you realize what you've done???!

I fight (WIN) battles with my kids over the living room TV during bowl season and it drives them crazy.

Yes honey, for the 4th straight day at 7:30pm, I will be taking over the TV for 4 hours uninterrupted during your holiday break. Please understand that after 1/7/2013, you can have the TV for the next 8 months straight.

They are secretly very excited football is over.
