2012 wasn't a dud, at least from my point of view.

In terms of living up to the hype...it failed to deliver.

Of course it failed to deliver... anybody who watched these 2 teams play this year KNEW the Domers were going to get taken out behind the woodshed.

Doesn't bother me though; I love when the SEC beats overrated teams from other conferences and independents to death.

2004 because it didn't have the right team in it.
I kept failing a math test at the University of Alabama because every time I added 5+3 I got 8 and they kept insisting that the right answer was 14.

2011.  We knew both of those were great teams that could split games.  2012/13 exposed ND, USC, and Stanford as second rate.  Bama, Georgia, LSU, aTm, and a ton of other schools in the SEC are good enough to carry the torch.  7+!

Roll Tide!

You said earlier today that the right teams weren't in this game either.

Make up your mind.

Auburn that year is the most legitimate reason to say the BCS doesn't work to date, and the playoffs are needed.

Considering how many NFL players that team had, would be interesting to see if they could've beaten USC.

I still think USC was better, but Oklahoma was really a joke.

There's only one truly "right" team to me. Don't be mad!

Agreed. USC might have beaten us but it would have been a good, close game either way.

The '04 Auburn team had more NFL players than the '04 USC team, and they don't completely suck ass, either. Leinart? Bush? Puhleeeeeaze.

Sure they were good in college, but I know for a FACT that they wouldn't have beaten Tubs' 2004 squad 55 to fuggin' 19.

Is true.   Cambell even had a more successful NFL career than Leinhart really, even though they both suck.

However, I think Carroll would've been the difference.

Depends how butthurt you are, like being upset ones team wasn't in the title game...or said rival is in the other. Hell, just negative all around for an Auburn fan.

An SEC just beat the shit out of ND in the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, it doesn't get much better than that.

It was over after Bama won the SEC Championship over a month ago.
