Florida losing a lot of guys on D as well. It's gonna be all about the offense imo for the Cocks, Dawgs and Gators

Sad thing is, looking at both offenses one would have to give the nod to Georgia. However..... looking even further into it....... Murray just so happens to play not so well against those teams (with good defenses) so who knows

How the hell can you have "mixed feelings" about Murray coming back? Have any of you bothered to compare what he's done with the rest of the QBs in the country? Jesus christ.

Guess Alabama doesn't qualify as a good defense

Yeah he played good against Alabama, which is why I'm optimistic about him for next year. No one is doubting his abilities, just wish he was a little more consistant.

You don't become the #1 rated passer in the country by being inconsistent. And he did it with a green o line and losing two of his top receivers halfway through the year. Hell, his performance was Brady-like late in the year. Didn't matter who the receivers were. Count it as a blessing that he's not three inches taller because he'd be going pro without a second thought were that the case.

hmmm...i would still consider us a better defensive team, especially when talking about the defensive line!

on a side note, i guess murray wants to become the only four year starter to never beat carolina!
Go Cocks!!!

I feel like Georgia fans, in general, tend to not appreciate their stud QBs. I was on campus when Stafford was there and I heard just as many rants about how people were on the fence about him or flat out didn't like him as I heard accolades and lovefests.

The kid is a great QB. How many other QBs from across the country would you rather have leading the Dawgs in '13? Thats a real real short list.

I love that he's coming back. Athlon had us at #5 in their super early preseason poll assuming Murray was back.

Was it ever even a question?
At least he didn't have a little announcement that he was coming back like Tebow did.
That was so corny.

Great news for UGA, bad decision for Murray. This year's qb draft is very weak and thin.

Its looking the same way in 2014. He won't lose anything by coming back.

We really are. The worst quarterback we've had under Richt that started a significant amount of snaps was Joe Cox and in hindsight he really wasn't THAT bad. We've had Greene, Shockley, Stafford and Murray who were all fantastic quarterbacks. That's the one area Richt really excels in that separates him from a lot of other coaches is pure quarterback development.

The trend should continue to with Brice Ramsey coming in who has a hell of an arm and good size. He looked kind of rough in the Under Armour game but his receivers did drop a LOT of passes.

Georgia fan on Greene: "Well, he was good but he never led us to the promised land..."
on Shockley: "Too bad he couldn't stay healthy."
on Stafford: "He wasn't a true Dawg. He just used us as a stepping stone to the NFL."
on Murray: "I want to see Hutson Mason get some snaps."

It's truly hysterical.

The Huston Mason shit is retarded. There are Dawg fans who literally want to see him play just because he's "homegrown".

I shit you not there's a thread on 247 about "How will the Murray news sit with Hutson Mason?" I'm like, "WHO THE Original Image: http://www.sectalk.c.../lanekiffin.gif GIVES A SHIT?" These people act like we've got Aaron Rodgers sitting on the bench and we should appease him by giving him meaningful snaps in a ball game that's still in doubt. It's patently absurd.
