Apparently the Bush tax cuts expired, and it's rearing its ugly head in the form of hurting the middle class...

One friend getting $55 more out of his paycheck per week... and a lot of other people griping about their checks, but with less info.

Yes... Obama is good for the economy. What a scumbag.
When it's 3rd and 10, we shuffle out our secret weapon... he's the only person we ever want calling the next play... some call him the twelfth man.... we call him the whiskey drinker...

I've seen much of the same.  I only get paid at the end of the month, so I've yet to see how much it affects me.

Mine was about $70 less than normal. $140/ month out of my pocket. I haven't compared it to an old check yet to see what changed specifically.

  This is straight up hilarious. If anybody is complaining about their paycheck already, they're lying about it; because Dems and Repubs ALL said IF there are actually any noticeable effects on paychecks from the passage of the bill, it would be MONTHS before anyone would actually see it. They both also said middle-class Americans ultimately wouldn't see any noticeable changes.

Signing the bill into law is only one small step of many that have to take place at the federal level, state level, and local level IRS and departments of revenue before any employers can make any payroll adjustments.

I compared today's check to the final one of last year. Social Security withdrawal almost doubled. Something changed.

*edit. It didn't quite double. My math sucks.

This is the payroll tax cut that was expiring with the new year though.   They have had months to prepare.   Republicans wanted these taxes to go up last year but lost.   This time the Dems didn't fight for it to get this fiscal cliff deal done.

Yeah, that's what we in the business call bullshit.  I've got a pending paycheck that will hit the bank Monday that is oddly enough, exactly 2% smaller than the last one in december.  It's almost as if the payroll tax went back up from 4.2% to 6.2% or something.

Anyone that voted for Obama that has a job or is looking for one is an effing idiot.

Anyone that voted for Obama that doesn't want a job, only government "assistance", is brilliant.

It is what it is and will never be the same.

The Republicans wanted this.   Does that mean we're all idiots no matter for whom we voted?

Actually don't answer that.   Of course most people are, hah.
