Folks, I've set up a pick 'ems for SEC baseball. To get to the Pick 'Ems, click on the "Pick 'Ems" button at the top of the page. The first week's picks close on Friday Night (Feb 15th), since the first weekend games start on Feb 15th. The rest of the baseball pick 'ems are also in the system and available for your picks. During the season, picks will close prior to the 1st game of the series.
Here’s the deal with the SEC Baseball Pick ‘Ems. I’ve included a pick ‘ems for those series that SEC teams are involved in over each weekend. On most occasions, the weekend matchups begin on a Thursday or a Friday for a series against the same team over a weekend. Except for those type games mentioned above, weekday games aren’t included since a lot of the weekday games are for one game only (against a common opponent). Any weekend series where an SEC team only plays one common opponent for only one game during the weekend were not included (e.g., weekend tournaments where a team plays 3 different opponents - Kentucky vs. UNC Asheville, USC Upstate, and Niagara in weekend #1). On some occasions, a team may play two different teams twice during the weekend and both opponents are included in the Pick 'Ems.
The winners are decided by which team wins the series. For example, if Team A is scheduled to play Team B for 3 games over the weekend, whichever team wins 2 of 3 (or 3 of 3), gets the win in the pick ‘ems. If there is a rain-out and the teams split (1 win each), then the "pick 'ems" system considers it a tie. Also, for those series where Team A plays Team B for a scheduled 2-game series, or in some cases a 4-game series, if it is a split, the same holds true.
Here’s the series that I included for the first weekend of the pick ‘ems (Feb 15-17). I'll try to post the series and number of games played here in this thread prior to each weekend (similar to what is posted below):
VMI at Alabama (3-game series: Friday-Sunday)
Western Illinois at Arkansas (3-game series: Friday-Sunday)
Maine at Auburn (4-game series: Friday-Sunday)
Duke at Florida (3-game series: Friday-Sunday)
Georgia at Georgia Southern (3-game series: Friday-Sunday)
Maryland at LSU (3-game series: Friday-Sunday)
TCU at Mississippi (3-game series: Friday-Sunday)
Portland at Mississippi State (4-game series: Friday-Sunday)
Missouri at Southern Miss (3-game series, Friday-Sunday)
Liberty at South Carolina (3-game series: Friday-Sunday)
Tennessee at UNLV (4-game series: Friday-Sunday)
Illinois-Chicago at Texas A&M (3-game series, Friday-Sunday)
Long Beach State at Vanderbilt (3-game series: Friday and Sunday)
Good luck!

What is this baseball of which you speak? Is it a ball shaped like a base?

Love baseball pick 'ems.
I choked in football, and am crashing and burning in basketball.
Baseball is my last shot!
Some decent matchups to open the season.
