So you've made the point that they don't have to play, they can go play flag football or something if they really wanted to preserve themselves for future first round status...which we all know isn't true.
What is your real angle, or why do you really care about keeping the 3 year rule? To keep players in the sport for as long as you can, right? That doesn't benefit them, so much as it benefits you/the collegiate game. It's their careers, their bodies, and the NFL/NCAA will keep going regardless...they're the only ones that lose. That's why its unfair, to argue otherwise is to basically argue why you don't give a , which is fine, but don't pretend like this rule is needed for either the NFL or NCAA and certainly not for the player. There for it's an unnecessary rule, where only these guys lose out. Just like the players that would take advantage of the rule and leave despite not being ready, only they lose.
